David Williams
OF COUNSEL
David Williams grew up in Colorado playing high school football, competing in Lincoln-Doughlas debates, and enjoying the great outdoors. He still enjoys going back to the Rocky Mountains on occasion in the summer. He moved to North Carolina in 1997, where he has made his home ever since. David’s family history to the region runs deep. His great grandfather, David Williams (1736-1777), is buried in Steele Creek cemetery in Charlotte.
Before pursuing law, David spent many years in the financial services industry as a Registered Investment Advisor (FINRA Series 66) and Registered Representative (FINRA Series 7). This experience gives him a unique fluency in the intersection of estate law and wealth advisory services.
David has a strong commitment to public service, having served as a Union County Commissioner and member of many non-profit boards. He currently serves as Chairman of Partners Behavioral Health Management, a managed care organization where he previously held the role of Treasurer for two consecutive terms. He also volunteers with the North Carolina Lawyers for Entrepreneurs Assistance Program, providing pro bono legal assistance to entrepreneurs.
When he’s not working, David enjoys following baseball and researching family history. He lives in Indian Trail with his wife, Emily.
